St. Andrew is the Patron Saint of Scotland and of the Brothers of St. Andrew (BOSA). This year, on St. Andrew’s Day, November 30, we at bonnie St. Stephen’s celebrated a unique Mass called the “Kirking” (blessing) of the Tartans. The congregation brings their tartan garments to be blessed at the altar by the Rector. In this, our inaugural event, we were fortunate to have Master Piper Don Shannon assist in the ceremony. Following the Mass, we attended a wonderful reception.
